Hospital radio legend to break a leg at Medway Comedy Club

Medway Comedy Club has booked a big name act for February, whilst keeping prices small. Ivan Brackenbury's Hospital Radio Roadshow comes to The Brook Theatre on Monday, 4 February, 8.45pm. Brackenbury is the self-proclaimed saviour of Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Hospital Radio and collected an if.comedy (formerly Perrier) Award nomination and Spirit of the Fringe Award in 2007. The cheerful earful is the UK’s most famous hospital radio DJ, having been on Radio 1 as part of Stewart Lee and Richard Herring’s Fist of Fun. He has also had his show in Chesterfield simulcast on BBC, GLR, XFM, Chris Evans breakfast show on Virgin, Channel 4's 4Music with Jo Wiley, Loose Ends on BBC Radio 4. Brackenbury’s regular request and chat show, Disease Hour, is broadcast each day and captures all the fun and excitement you’d expect from being in hospital, with games, giveaways, patients’ requests and Ivan’s special blend of music and chat. Following his sellout Edinburgh show, Brackenbury is taking to the road to tour the UK, whilst broadcasting live back to the patients of Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Hospitals.
