Local theatre company offers up a musical feast

Date: 23/01/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

Medway-based Feast & Co. Performing Arts will bring to life two classic plays in two days at The Brook Theatre, Chatham. The company opens the theatrical weekend with Tom Sawyer the Musical on Saturday, 9 February, 7.30pm. The stage version of Mark Twain's novel opens with the children looking forward to the annual Sunday School picnic, or any adventure that presents itself. It's a summer like all the others Tom has known. Until he and Huck decide to take a dead cat up to the graveyard at midnight. On Sunday, 10 February, 6.30pm, Feast & Co swap the slumbering Mississippi for the bright lights of New York in Fame the Musical. Follow the ups and downs in the celebrated High School for the Performing Arts in this bittersweet story about a diverse group of students. Tickets for both shows are £10, concessions available. For bookings call the box office on 01634 338338, email boxoffice@medway.gov.uk or visit www.medway.gov.uk/theatres.
