Digance to strike a chord in Medway

Date: 08/02/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

Folk comedian, Richard Digance, will play at The Central Theatre on Friday, 29 February, 7.30pm. The BAFTA nominated funny man will deliver two hours of original material, armed with just his wit and a guitar. Digance first made his name in the 70s, as part of a talented crop of musicians who could also tickle the funny bone with a story or two. For over 11 years Digance was a regular on ITV. But it is on stage that he is happiest, doing what he has done for over 30 years - singing songs, reciting poems and making people laugh. He has supported comedy and musical heavyweights, including Steve Martin, Tom Jones and The Beach Boys. In 2003 he won a Gold Award from the British Academy of Songwriters and has even played to half a million people at Knebworth. Tickets are £14 and £15.
