Be part of the union as Strawbs roll up at The Brook Theatre

Date: 08/02/2008           Category: Arts and Libraries

Folk at The Brook is proud to present Acoustic Strawbs, who will play at The Brook Theatre, Chatham on Thursday, 28 February, 8pm. Founding member Dave Cousins, alongside long-standing Strawbs Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk, will play material from their new album, Painted Sky, as well as featuring Strawbs classics. Strawbs first made a name for themselves in the early seventies, selling over 100,000 copies in the UK of their debut album, before concentrating on America and spending over 52 weeks in the Billboard charts. As well as high profile chart success, the band has featured big names including Rick Wakeman and Sandy Denny. This is a chance to experience the integrity and musicianship that saw Strawbs conquer hearts and minds both sides of the Atlantic. Tickets are £12, folk mailing list members £11. For bookings, call box office on 01634 338338, email boxoffice@medway.gov.uk or visit www.medway.gov.uk.
