Mass birthday party for Medway's toddlers

Date: 13/03/2008           Category: Childrens Care

Children who are celebrating their second or third birthdays in March will be the guests of honour at a mass party in Chatham. The party will be held at the All Saints Sure Start Children’s Centre on Wednesday, 26 March and any toddlers celebrating a birthday this month are invited to attend. Children will be able to have their face painted, play party games, enjoy arts and craft sessions and make party hats. There will also be a story time session, before the children are waved off home with a party bag. The event takes place in the centre’s Boardroom Café and Family Room from 10am to 12noon. While all the fun is going on their parents or carers will be able to speak to visitors from Jobcentre Plus; Children’s Information Service; Oral Health Promotion; Medway Adult Learning Service - Family Learning; and the Early Learning Centre, who will be providing activities and games. There will also be information about the centre and the toy library. Co-ordinator Jo Bunn said: “This is the first time we have organised an event like this. We hope it will be successful and we can plan some more later this year. “We want to encourage people that have never used the centre to come and enjoy the activities and gain some valuable information at the same time.” For more information, call Jo Bunn on 01634 338833.
