They've gone - Status Quo tickets all snapped up

Date: 18/03/2008           Category: Events

In just seven days every last remaining ticket for rockers Status Quo has been sold. The band is the first to sell out for this year's Castle Concerts in July in Rochester. When tickets went on sale last Wednesday (12 March) thousands were sold within the first five hours and now all tickets for the gig in Rochester Castle Gardens on Friday, 18 July have gone. Portfolio Holder for Community Services Cllr Howard Doe said: "This is indeed excellent news. I'm sure everyone who has managed to secure a ticket for Status Quo will have a wonderful night. All the performers at this year's Castle Concerts are not to be missed, they are providing some great entertainment.'' The good news is, however, that there are stil tickets remaining for the other three nights of this year's Castle Concerts, so it may be worth snapping these up before they too are all sold. The line-up for Castle Concerts 2008 is: Wednesday, 16 July - Soul Party (The Edwin Starr Band featuring Angelo Starr; Brenda Edwards and The Soul Traders) - £20. Thursday, 17 July - Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra featuring Marc Almond, Gilson Lavis, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall - £30. Friday, 18 July - Status Quo - £33. Saturday, 19 July - Castle Proms (Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra) - £27. Events Manager Carl Madjitey: "I would seriously advise people not to leave it too late to get their tickets for this year's Castle Concerts. They are selling well and it would be a shame if you want tickets but then don't manage to get them because you leave it too long to buy.'' Tickets are available via www.castleconcerts.co.uk or by phoning 01634 338338 or 01634 843666. You can also buy tickets in person at The Central Theatre in Chatham or Medway Visitor Information Centre in Rochester High Street. Find out more at www.castleconcerts.co.uk ends
