When: Tuesday, 1 April, 10am to 12.30pm Where: Bumble Bears nursery, All Saint’s Church, Magpie Hall Road, Chatham Healthy treats like fruit salad, and milkshakes will be munched and slurped during a story session in Chatham next month. Children from the Bumble Bears nursery at the All Saint’s Church in Magpie Hall Road, will make the snacks as part of a session organised by the All Saint’s Sure Start Children’s Centre. During the session on Tuesday, 1 April, the children will be read a story about a boy called Oliver, and then make food that relates to his adventures. The children will be able to take their food home with them, as well as recipe card so they can cook the dishes with their parents. Nutritionist David Lee, who organises the sessions, said the outreach programme offers children a chance to learn how to cook. He said: “These sessions are a great way for children to learn basic cookery skills, which they can use at home.” You are invited to send a photographer to the cookery session.
