Gillingham library readers’ group The next meeting of the readers’ group takes place at the library on Tuesday, 8 April at 10.30am. The group will be discussing The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Police launch new surgery at Wigmore library A new police surgery starts at Wigmore library in April. The surgery, which will take place at the library on the second Thursday of each month between 5 and 7pm, allows local residents to meet their neighbourhood officers and voice any concerns they may have about crime or nuisance behaviour. The police surgery can also provide local residents with advice on protecting themselves, their home and their property, as well as advising on how they can help in keeping their community safe. Find out more about Medway Visitors to the Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre will be able to find out more about Barges and the Medway Barge Match when the centre unveils a new exhibition on Monday 31 March. Put together by Bob Ratcliffe, the exhibition is free to view and runs until Friday 9 May. On Tuesday 29 April, Tony Farnham will give a talk called Barge Heyday.
