A great favourite among folk music lovers in Medway, Harvey Andrews returns to the Brook Theatre in Chatham on Thursday 24 April, 8pm with his renowned blend of fine acoustic guitar playing and masterful storytelling. Birmingham born Harvey trained as a schoolteacher, but began his singer/songwriter career in the early 60s. He has produced 15 albums of his own songs, many of which have been recorded by other artists, ranging from Mary Hopkin to Christy Moore. His recordings have featured artists such as Martin Carthy, Ralph McTell, Richard Thompson, Rick Wakeman, Danny Thompson and Dave Pegg. TV and radio appearances include The Old Grey Whistle Test, The Peel Sessions, and a Radio Four Kaleidoscope special, which was devoted to his work.
