Arts

The arts make Medway an attractive place to live, work or visit. MedPainting by Sarah Youngway Council’s Arts Team has a strong commitment to providing the best arts and entertainment possible by offering a comprehensive programme of visual art exhibitions and projects, an active music and performing arts programme with specialist dance provision, a range of youth arts initiatives and a literature programme.

Exhibitions

Galleries situated throughout the area show exhibitions by local, national and international artists.

Young People

The Arts Team provides a wide range of term-time classes for eight to 25-year-olds at the Brook Theatre:

and an annual programme of holiday workshops for under 18s - Meltdown, Springboard, Heatwave and Fallout.

Dance

There is also a wide range of dance classes, offering a valuable and fun experience to those who attend.

Theatre

The Central and Brook Theatres provide a full programme of professional activity and host a wide range of amateur theatre and music organisations.
