Time and Tides
Time and Tides is a community art and history project delivered
in partnership with Icon Theatre.
We will be helping the communities in
Upnor, High Halstow and
Cuxton to investigate their hidden histories
and unique stories from their village's past and to present these
findings artistically through drama, recordings,
artwork, music, talks, workshops and events.
Drawing on local talents, interests and existing groups, and
offering workshops and opportunities to learn new arts and drama
skills, the project will include a strong history, heritage
and research strand involving project partners
The Guildhall Museum and
Medway Archives and Local Studies Centre.
Suitable for all ages, workshops and taster events are
scheduled at primary schools and other venues in each of
the areas. The project is set to run all the way through until
November 2012, so there’s plenty of opportunity to get
involved.
