Booking information
Box office opening hours
The box office is open for bookings both by phone and in person
from Monday to Saturday, from 10am until 15 minutes after
curtain-up. On non-performance evenings, it will close at 5pm.
Please be patient when phoning the box office during busy periods,
especially around show times, as all calls are answered in strict
rotation.
Support acts
Support acts are regularly used by production companies to start
a show and "warm up" the audience for the main act. The Central and
Brook Theatres do not always know if a support act is being used or
what the support act will be at the time of publication. Customers
are therefore advised that support acts may be used at the
discretion of the producing management. For further information,
please enquire at the box office on the day of the performance.
Latecomers and admission
The management reserves the right to refuse admission.
Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the
performance.
Ticket reservations
Tickets must be paid for (by post or in person) within three
working days of the original reservation or 30 minutes before
curtain-up, whichever is sooner. Seats not paid for after this time
will be released. Reservations cannot be made through the online
booking service.
Bookings for customers using wheelchairs
Please note that bookings for customers using wheelchairs cannot
be made online. Please contact the box office, using the details at
the foot of this page and a member of staff will contact you during
normal office hours or find out more about facilities for people with a disability visiting the
theatres.
Group bookings
Please note that group bookings (parties of eight or more)
cannot be made online. If you are interested in arranging a group
booking for a show, please contact the box office, using the
details at the foot of this page, with your details and staff will
contact you during normal office hours.
Postal booking
When booking by post, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed
envelope for the return of the tickets. Please give the show title,
date and time. Cheques must be made payable to Medway Council and
should have your cheque card number, name, address, telephone
number written clearly on the back. Postal bookings can be sent to
either of the addresses at the foot of this page.
Collecting tickets from the box office
If you select the CoBO (care of box office) option when making
your order, your tickets will be held at the box office for
collection on the day of the performance. Should you wish to
collect your tickets on the day before the performance, the box
office staff at either theatre will be happy to print your tickets
for you.
Having your tickets posted to you
Should you prefer to have your tickets sent out to you, please
select the postage option when making your order. The postage
charge is a flat rate of 75pence. Your tickets will be posted out
to you on the first working day after your booking was made and
will be sent second class. Please allow at least a week for your
tickets to arrive before contacting the box office.
Return of tickets
Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded. Customers are
advised to check their tickets at the time of purchase.
Resale of tickets
Tickets may be left at box office for resale but the theatre
cannot guarantee their sale and can only offer them for resale
after all the theatre’s own seats have been sold.
Discounts and concessions
The theatre reserves the right to introduce special offers and
discounts without notice. Concessions, where offered, are available
for people under 16 years old and over 60 years old. Only single
concessions are available. Please note that concessionary and
special offer tickets must be requested at the time of purchase and
discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
Doors open 30 minutes before curtain-up. The licensed bar is open
when there are performances and interval drinks can be ordered in
advance, on arrival.
Gift vouchers
Central Theatre and Brook Theatre gift vouchers are available in
denominations of £1, £5, £10 and £20. Vouchers are valid for 18
months from the date of purchase.
Lost tickets
If your tickets are lost, please contact the theatre and you can
arrange for duplicate tickets to be held for collection before the
performance. The theatres do not issue or send out duplicate
tickets in advance of a performance. Any duplicate tickets issued
can only be picked up, on arrival, within one hour of the start of
the performance.
