Getting started at the library
It is free to join the
library.
Once your have a library card, you can access a wide range of
information and entertainment at the library and online.
You do not need to bring any identification with you to join
immediately as a light customer, which allows you to take out up to
three books.
To use the full range of services you will need to bring in some
identification, such as a recent utility bill or driving
licence.
If you are under 16 years old, your parent or guardian will need
to provide proof of identity.

Renewing a library book and other items
Borrowing books and using computers is free. Find out how
to reserve or renew a library book.
You can receive reservation and overdue notices by email; this
saves on postage and paper. To take advantage of this service
either ask next time you visit the library or log into the
catalogue to change your preferences and add your email
address.
