Healthy weight

If you would like to find out more about finding or maintaining
a healthy weight, the library has some resources that can help
you.
Books and DVDs
The library has a collection of books, games and DVDs that
can help you maintain a healthy weight. These include:
- Healthy recipes
- Exercise books
- Motivational and self-help books (including the reading well collection)
- Fitness DVDs
- Wii sport and Xbox connect games
Weighing scales
Medway Libraries has two sets of weighing scales
which are free to use.
Scales at Chatham Community hub
The first set of scales is at Chatham Community Hub, and is fully
wheelchair accessible.
Second set of scales schedule
The second set of scales is part of a pilot scheme being
run by Medway Libraries and the Public Health Team. The
idea is to give people in the community free access to an
easy-to-use set of digital weighing scales to monitor their own
weight.
Once the feedback from the pilot scheme has been viewed, it is
hoped that a set of weighing scales will be installed in
each library.
Help and advice
The Health and Lifestyle Team is on hand to offer advice
and support at regular drop-in sessions at libraries around
Medway. More details are listed on Medway Libraries' healthy living page.
Walking groups meet at various locations in Medway, including
