Poetry readers' group

Woman in glasses reading a bookThe poetry readers group meets on the first Monday of the month between 7.30 and 9pm at Strood Library.

There is no fee and new members are welcome. 

At each meeting members bring a few poems of their choice on the monthly theme, to share with the group. Library staff are always happy to help search for appropriate poetry.

The meeting dates and themes for 2012/13 are as follows:

  • Monday, 13 May 2013 - Parodies
  • Monday, 3 June 2013 - Poets laureate
  • Monday, 1 July 2013 - Free choice
  • Monday, 2 September 2013 - Robert Herrick
  • Monday, 7 October 2013 - Departures

The group does not meet in August or on the following bank holidays:

  • Monday, 6 May 2013
