Reserve or renew a library book
Borrowing books and using computers is
free.
Reserving a book
To reserve a book online, go on to the
library catalogue.
Log in, select "Catalogue" on the left-hand side of the
page, search for the item you would like to reserve, tick the box
to the left of the item, then click "reserve selections" at the
bottom of the page.
This will bring up a window with your reservations. If you would
like to change the pickup location, click on "change pickup
location", use the dropdown menu to select another library and then
submit.
You can always check your reservations by going to "My
account".
You may also reserve a book by going into a library with your
library card and speaking to a member of staff, or by calling
your local
library.
Requesting an online pin number
To receive your initial online pin number, you must bring
your library card to your local library and request one
from a member of staff. If you already have a pin, but have
forgotten it, you can request
a pin reminder by email.
Renewing a book
To renew a library book, you may:
If you do not know your PIN
please take your library card and one piece of address ID
such as a driving licence or recent utility bill or bank
statement to your local library where they will issue you a
new PIN.

Please note
- Items that are more than 29 days overdue cannot be
renewed online and must be brought into a library.
- Items (including books) that have pending requests cannot be
renewed.
- Items that require a loan charge must be brought
back to a Medway library and re-hired.
- Fines cannot be paid online.
