Recognising and celebrating sporting success
The
Medway Sports Awards 2012 will round off a wonderful year of
sporting celebration in Medway.
They highlight the achievements and dedication of Medway
athletes, coaches, clubs, teams and schools.
Short-listed nominees in 11 categories will be invited to the
gala awards evening in December where the winners will be announced
in the presence of Medway VIPs, sponsors, guests from national
sporting organisations and an array of sporting stars.
Nominations
Nominations are now open in 11
categories so begin thinking about your nomination.
With a two-year nomination window the standard of nominations is
expected to be at its highest. To help with your entry we have
compiled a set of criteria for each category, which the judges will
refer to when choosing the winners.

Sponsors
The Medway
Messenger are proud to be media partner for the
2012 Medway Sports Awards.
They will profile the nominees and sporting guests in
the build up to the gala evening and report on the winners.
Other sponsorship opportunities range from sponsoring an
individual category to title sponsorship of the whole
evening.

The 2010 Awards
A total of 36 gold, silver and bronze trophies
were presented in 12 categories at the 2010 Awards.
Former
Paralympic world record holder Danny Crates, Gills players Jack
Payne and Danny Spiller, GB modern pentathlete Mhairi Spence and GB
rugby league full back Chris Melling joined a host
of local sporting stars for the celebratory event hosted
by Sky Sports' David Garrido.
