English Festival

The English Festival will take place on Saturday, 21 April 2018.

 

 

The English Festival is a fun-packed free day out for the whole family celebrating theenglish festival most iconic and ironic of English traditions. The English Festival takes place at Rainham Country Park.

 

Come along and watch a performance by St George and The Dragon, while playing a spot of bingo. Or why not pop along to the petting zoo, listen to live bands, buy local produce, get your face painting, plus lots more!

 

 

Cake decorating competition

The theme for 2018 is royal baby/royal wedding.

Bakers are invited to put their imagination and sugar craft skills to the test and enter the cake decorating competition.

Entries are displayed in the tea tent in the village zone with the public voting on their favourite throughout the day.

Highlights from 2017 English Festival

Riverside Country Park in Lower Rainham transformed into a trio of exciting zoned areas for the annual English Festival.

The English Festival is a fun-packed free day out for the whole family celebrating the most iconic and ironic of English traditions.

There were lots of new attractions this year. The event featured a new Iconic England zone, where visitors were be able to enjoy a performance by St George and The Dragon, while playing a spot of bingo! There was also an appearance by Mods on scooters.

The Village Square featured a new English High Street, land train and bandstand entertainment.

The final zone was the Countryside Experience, packed with baby farm animals waiting for hugs in the petting corner, shire horses, sheep shearing, and for the adults, a real ale bar.
