  • Books and eBooks on how to write and the creative process are available in our branches and can be reserved online using the library catalogue
  • Free email alerts to notify you when new creative writing books will become available, ask staff for more details
  • Medway Libraries offers events for adults and children throughout the year including free creative writing courses and workshops
  • Two informal creative writing groups meet up at Medway libraries. One at  Chatham Library, Community Hub Chatham and the other at Rochester library, Community hub Rochester. To find out more contact your local library.

What other help can the library offer local writers?

When somebody comes to a library with a book, story or poetry that they have published themselves, it is sometimes difficult to add it to the library shelves. However, if they meet the submission guidelines they can be made available online, in pdf format. To read the existing books, stories and poems please select the author name, as listed at the bottom of this web page.
