Volunteer at your local park

Medway has over 20 volunteer and friends groups that help to look after the wide-ranging green spaces that Medway has to offer. Around 12,000 hours a year of volunteering takes place in Medway’s green spaces, but there is still much to do, so we need your assistance.

Medway Urban Parks and Green Spaces Forum

The forum welcomes all green space groups, providing an opportunity to network with other groups. The Forum brings together green space groups to support, protect and promote Medway’s green spaces.

Medway Countryside Forum

The forum works to raise the appreciation of Medway's countryside sites. It supports action from official and volunteer groups to protect the countryside and to increase the access to countryside sites and raises awareness of the threats for Medway's Countryside, wildlife and open spaces. The forum is supported by a wide range of official and voluntary organisations that are represented at each meeting.

Medway Local Access Forum

The forum meets quarterly to discuss issues surrounding access on Medway’s footpath network including Medway Council’s Public Right of Way Improvement Plan. For more information visit www.medwaylaf.webs.com
