The flagship inter-schools sports programme provides more than 3,000 primary school pupils every year with the opportunity to experience the thrill of friendly, competitive team sport, to learn new skills, keep healthy and develop a sense of fair play.

The aim of the Medway School Mile is to improve the physical and emotional health of our children. It's a very simple programme, which any primary school can be part of.

 

Disability Youth Games

Medway Sport also run a Disability Youth Games, although we promote inclusivity in all our games series, this is a bespoke programme for Special Schools and special units within Schools.Disability Youth Games image 2013

 

Mini Youth Games Sports Camps

Medway's MYG sports camps have become one of the most popular activity programmes in our sports centres, offering children aged 7 to 12 the chance to enjoy quality sports coaching during the holidays.

The Medway Sporting Academy is our pioneering programme helping to identify and develop young athletes who show sporting potential. We also offer support to athletes competition at county level and above.

 

Medway Sport Development Centres

Our new programme of structured junior coaching sessions to enhance the skills of young people in a range of sports and activities outside of a club setting.

There are a great many sports clubs in Medway keen to welcome new members and build links with local schools. Schools interested in benefiting from club links should contact the Medway Sport Team to find out about the clubs in their neighbourhood.
