Following the success of a trial football tournament in October, Medway Council is pleased to annouce the Medway Business Games programme for 2008. The Games is a series of five tournaments aimed at getting Medway's working population out of their suits and into their shorts, competing in a series of friendly tournaments and challenging for the ultimate honour of being crowned Medway Business Games Champions for 2008. |
The 2008 programme will kick off in February, with a five-a-side football tournament at Kicks Soccer Centre, the new facility at Strood Leisure Centre.
This will be followed by badminton in March, table tennis in April, golf in May and netball in June, with the competitions being held at some of Medway's Olympic-standard facilities.
Trophies will be presented to the winning team in each sport and points will be awarded to the top eight teams in each event. The company or organisation with the most points at the end of the five events will receive the overall winners' trophy.
