Get your nominations in for the Medway Sports Awards 2007
The third annual Medway Sports Awards are fast approaching, and time is running out to get your nominations in.
You only have until the end of August to put forward those teams and individuals you think deserve recognition for their achievements during 2006/2007.

The awards, Medway's only celebration of sport covering the whole community, recognise the hard work and efforts of local sportsmen and women - and the coaches and other volunteers who help them reach their sporting goals. Among the winners in 2006 were Rachael Burford, who has since gone on to to be made England Women's Sevens Rugby Captain. The Junior Sportsperson of the Year went to gymnast Victoria Loftus, who in September will be representing Great Britain at the Special Olympics in Shanghai. Other winners included Club of the Year Rainham Cricket Club, Team of the Year Holcombe Ladies First Team and David South, the Holcombe Hockey Club chairman recognised for a lifetime contribution to sport. |

The awards are open to all Medway residents and all sports are eligible.

The awards are free to enter and all nominees are invited to a special gala evening and given a certificate.
