Elite athlete in another comfortable victory

Vice-captain Rachael Burford was part of the England side that scored a convincing 31-0 victory over France in the RBS Women's Six Nations in Bergerac in the south-west of the country on Saturday, 23 February. The third straight win in the series, this time against their closest rivals, secured the top of the table position. In the other matches, Ireland beat Scotland 13-3 on Friday, 22 February and Wales beat Italy 27-5 in the last of the weekend's matches on Sunday. Medway Council wishes Rachael and her England colleagues the best of luck for the championships and their title defence. |
