Medway boxing star Jordan Dennis remains on course to retain his national title.
The 2007 Medway Junior Sportsman of the Year secured victory by knock-out in the Southern final of ABA (Amateur Boxing Association of England) competition in Southampton.

His opponent was a fighter he had previously only beaten on points but this time the referee stepped in to stop the bout in the second round. Jordan, who trains with Brompton Amateur Boxing Club and is also a Medway Sporting Ambassador, will now go on to the national quarter finals. He is just three fights away from the Junior ABA title in the 70kg class at under-17 level. His next fight will be within the next fortnight and the final is due to take place at the end of May. Jordan is returning from injury after breaking his foot last year. He said he was pleased with his form so far this year. |
"I've had five fights since coming back from injury and I'm fighting alright at the moment."
Jordan is a twice national champion and has captained England at junior level. He is coached by Billy Beck and receives support through the Medway Elite Athlete Programme.
