Medway pentathlete James Myatt will soon be going head-to-head with Europe’s best athletes. James has been selected for the Great Britain squad to compete in the European Youth A Championships being held in Kaplar, Sweden on 22-27 July 2008. The 16-year-old from Rochester will be competing in his second European Championships, having been part of the squad that won bronze at last year’s event in Portugal. |

The Europeans form part of a busy, summer schedule for the Medway athlete who is also hoping to represent Great Britain in the World Championships in Bulgaria later on in the year.
This season has been a pivotal one for James. In early June he made his first senior appearance for Great Britain in a Grand Prix event in Slovakia, an important milestone on his journey to London 2012.
He now hopes to go on and medal at this summer's championships.
