The guide lists the approved facilities for athletes to use in their preparations for London 2012 and features five facilities in Medway. These are:
The guide was unveiled by Lord Sebastian Coe at an official reception held by London 2012 at the British Ambassador's residence in Beijing which was attended by Medway 2012 Deputy Manager, Helen Cockersole.
|
Helen, who was part of a VisitBritain delegation promoting Britain to a global audience, met representatives from over 40 national Olympic committees with a view to them bringing their athletes to Medway to train. |
|
The guide takes the form of a website that now lists the country's top facilities for elite athletes all in one place.
You can see the guide featuring the five Medway facilities at the London 2012 training camps (http://trainingcamps.london2012.com/) site.
More information on Medway's plans can be seen on our pre-Games training camp pages.
