Chatham Grammar wins first ever Medway Youth Games event

Chatham Grammar School for Boys is the first winner of a Medway Youth Games sports tournament. It won the hockey tournament, the first of this year's new Medway Youth Games series, beating all other schools taking part on the day. Rochester Maths School came second in the event held at Holcombe Hockey Club, Medway's international standard hockey facility. Thomas Aveling School came third. |

The Medway Youth Games build on the success of the well establised Mini Youth Games series and give secondary school children the chance to participate in inter-school sports competitions.
Like the Mini Youth Games, the Medway Youth Games feature a fair play award, the first one was won by Greenacre School.
The next Medway Youth Games event in the nine-event series is the badminton tournament, to be held on Tuesday, 18 November at the Medway Badminton Association, an officially approved pre-Games training camp sports facility.
