The Jumpers Rebound Centre has a strong history of staging competitions across all levels and hosting national squads, including more than three quarters of the participating teams in the 2004 Athens Games.

The centre is home to the Gillingham Jumpers, the world’s largest trampoline club. Its members include world age group winners, world record holders, national, regional and county champions and 2004 Olympic finalist Gary Smith.

Club statement

“Jumpers Rebound Centre has been a high performance centre for 10 years. Its members and coaches are extremely excited at the possibility that they will play host to trampoline training camps before 2012.

“The centre has already accommodated more than three quarters of the participating countries in the Athens Olympic Games and hopes to be the focus of the trampoline training for 2012.

"Participants will feel comfortable, focused and at home coming to a known venue of excellence that they have already been to, with the highest standard in trampoline, conference and support partners.

"For Jumpers members it is particularly special, as Gary Smith from the club was the only male trampolininst to represent Great Britain at Athens in 2004, along with his coach, Martin Laws.

"Gary was cited by the British Olympic Association as one of the best-prepared athletes in Team GB and finished seventh in the finals. To have the opportunity to train and compete on home soil is encouraging everyone at Jumpers, maximising their training in the hope of representing their country in front of the host nation.”
