Accommodation facilities

The Universities at Medway campus will be the accommodation and medical centre for visiting teams. The new campus opened in 2005 and can provide more than 200 ensuite rooms, including those designed specifically for use by disabled guests. New accommodation units are opening in 2008 and will provide a further 350 rooms, all of which will be available to athletes. The universities, located less than 1km from the Medway Park site, also have a wide range of meeting and seminar rooms with integrated information, communications, video and audio technology. The campus offers fully equipped specialist sports therapy, sports massage and sports science facilities. It also has fully functional X-ray and ultrasound equipment, together with an operating theatre and dedicated nursing wards, if required. The campus has a fully equipped cafeteria plus additional catering facilities in the accommodation blocks. |
