Nick Lovell is the latest member of the Lovell family to make it big in the world of football.
The son of former Welsh international and Gillingham star striker Steve and brother of former Gills professional Mark is now making a name for himself on the international scene.
Nick became the first Medway elite athlete to attend the Team GB Pre-Olympic Games Training Camp in Macau, when he travelled to China in August 2007. He was selected alongside fellow potential members of the GB Paralympic cerebral palsy team as they prepare for next summer's Beijing Games.
He is also a regular member of the England training squad that meets every two months at Lilleshall, the residential training camp and National Centre of Excellence, as well as training with regional FA coaches in London every few weeks.
He has an outside chance of being selected for the England team for the World Cup in Brazil in November 2007, although he has only recently joined the national squad.
His main focus is on competing for Great Britain in the Paralympic Games at Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
Nick, from Rainham, works as a community coach at Gillingham Football Club alongside his father and is also a sports coach for Swale Council.
