Medway images is a useful resource for anyone interested in the history, industry and culture of the Medway area. It contains visual images from the 19th century to the present day. There are currently over 350 illustrations included so far, mainly of Rochester High Street, Chatham town centre and Chatham Dockyard, home of the Royal Navy until 1984. A representative selection of images from our Photograph Collection will be uploaded in the future to include Strood, Gillingham and the surrounding rural area.
