I live on the other side
That’s it! After a first exchange programme between 2003 and 2005, the Syndicat Mixte de la Côte d’Opale and Medway Council have launched a new programme I live on the other side. The project is part financed by the European Union. Since the start of this programme in October 2005, relationships have developed between the French and English pupils involved.
How's it been done?
meetings (in France and in the UK)
chatrooms
publication of leaftlets about themes which can be developed by pupils…
So, what's it all about?
The following four schools in Medway and four schools in Côte d’Opale, France will take part in the programme over two years:
in the Côte d’Opale: lycée Blaise Pascal in Longuenesse, lycée Branly in Boulogne-sur-Mer, lycée Léonard de Vinci in Calais and lycée Jean Bart in Dunkirk,
in Medway: Chatham Grammar School for Boys, Fort Pitt Grammar School, Rochester Grammar School and The Howard School.
The groups communicate through chat rooms and email to prepare for the meetings, where they will create content for booklets on a number of different themes:
