Medway City Estate

We are taking steps to end congestion on the Medway City Estate, home to 600 businesses and 5000 staff.

The three-year project, part funded by Government’s Local Growth Fund, is designed to improve journey times on and around the estate and future-proof the road network for years to come.

Works planned for 2016 - 2018

Council teams are working up details for next phase of the project, likely to include:

  • Improved access to the estate for all types of transport and the possibility of a river taxi to Chatham town centre.
  • New CCTV cameras allowing estate workers to access the feed via the council’s website and check on any queues to plan when to leave work.
  • A dedicated slip lane from Anthony’s Way roundabout onto the A289.
  • Slip roads at Sans Pareil and Four Elms roundabouts.

Local businesses, workers and residents will be consulted in the near future. Sign up for email alerts and be the first to hear.
