Rochester River Walk

In April 2017 Medway Council, Countryside Properties and Hyde Housing signed a development agreement for the regeneration of Rochester Riverside with 1400 new homes and community facilities.

The development is being undertaken in phases from the end of October 2017.  Phases 1 to 3 will begin with the infrastructure works and site set-up prior to completing the initial phases of the development in the centre of the site.

River Walk Closures

In order to keep the contractors and the building site safe and secure and to complete improvement works, access to River Walk from the top of Cory’s Creek to the edge of Furrells Wharf will be blocked. This takes effect from Monday 6 November 2017 until 2021. Please see the map for details of the area affected.

All of the outdoor gym equipment has been relocated a little further along the River Walk and is accessible from Doust Way.

The multi storey car park on Cory’s Way will remain open as will the pedestrian subway to the Railway Station. The upper end of the site will also remain open to the public and will be accessible via Gas House Road and The Common.
