Resources are available to those learners in need of additional
Medway Adult Education service puts the learner at the heart of
everything we do. Learners are our first priority and we are
here to help and support.
The Discretionary Learner
Support Fund (dLSF) offers assistance with childcare, travel
costs, tuition and examination fees. It is a limited fund for those
learners who are eligible. Please contact us on

Discretionary Learner Support Fund
This fund is made available by the Skills Funding Agency and can
support learners on accredited courses (those which have a course
code ending with an F) with the cost of childcare, travel and books
depending on your personal circumstances. Details of learners'
personal financial situation will be required, but treated as
strictly confidential. The fund is limited and it is recommended
learners apply as soon as their course begins. If you would like to

The Bursary Fund
This fund is available to learners who have obtained a 24+
Learning Loan for their course of study. Its purpose is to support
learners with accessing education and can be used to provide
learning support and assist with costs associated with learning
including: childcare, travel and resources costs. The fund is
limited and it is recommended that learners apply as soon as their

Learners with disabilities
The Learner Service Team helps learners with a disability,
including specific learning needs. We are committed to supporting
learners to access their learning and can provide support in a
range of ways.
it is essential that if you are taking a course that involves a
qualification or exam, that you inform us as early as possible of
any support needs you may have. If you have a disability or any
other support needs, please contact the Learner Service

Literacy and numeracy support may be available if you are
studying certain subjects. It may also be possible to provide
language support if English is not your first language. Please
