Changes to the processing of student support

Student Finance England is the new central processing unit which has taken responsibility for assessing student support for all eligible students residing in England.

If you would like to apply for the 2011/12 academic year, please visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance and either apply online or download an application form.

Those students who were previously assessed by the Medway Student Finance Team and still require student support must now send all correspondence, including application forms, to:

From 18 March 2011 the transfer of responsibility will be complete. The Medway Student Finance team can no longer deal with telephone, email or face-to-face enquiries. All student finance post submitted to Medway Council will be redirected to Student Finance England.
