Sixth Form

Sixth form is a term for the final two years of secondary education (Years 12 and 13) where students prepare for their A-level exams.

Sixth form is not compulsory and students can apply to go to a sixth form at a different secondary school to the one they have studied at up until the end of Year 11.

Schools will tell pupils about the sixth form courses they offer, the GCSE grades they expect an individual pupil to achieve to enable them to carry on into sixth form and how to apply.
