Invite the Mayor

If you would like to invite the Mayor to an event, invitations must be made in writing giving at least three weeks' notice and should state:

  • The type of event
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • If you would like the Mayor to do anything special, such as cutting a ribbon

If you would prefer to make an invitation by letter, please post it to: The Mayor of Medway, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR.

Invitations should be replied to within 10 working days, although it may take longer in busy periods such as at Christmas time.

Once your invitation has been accepted, you will be sent our Mayoral Engagement Questionnaire. This must be completed and returned to us a minimum of 10 days before the event. Once we have it, we can put your event into the Mayor's schedule.
