To experience the thrill of outdoor karting, why not head for Medway’s Buckmore Park International Kart Circuit?
|
Buckmore Park Kart Circuit is a 1,200m Motor Sports Association approved outdoor kart racing circuit located just off the M2 near Medway.
|
The circuit hosts hundreds of events each year, with more than 100,000 annual visitors and many corporate events. It caters for nearly everyone, with events for racers from four to 80 years old. These range from individual races to team races and corporate events with up to 280 competitors.
Buckmore Park is also the circuit where many current and past Formula One (F1) drivers learned their trade, including Johnny Herbert, Jenson Button and current British F1 sensation Lewis Hamilton, who was originally discovered by Ron Dennis in the 1996 Champions of the Future Event held at Buckmore Park.
Although Buckmore Park is primarily a race circuit, it also has conference facilities for up to 200 people and a large fleet of hire karts, quad bikes, Argocats (amphibious, all terrain six or eight-wheeled vehicles) and Powerturn buggies, with Laser paintballing for groups as a new attraction for 2008.
Also new for 2008 is a permanent 120m long Paddock Circuit, which is open most school holidays and summer weekends for "arrive ‘n’ drive" karting and Silver Birthday Parties for four to 11 year-olds.
