Parking permits

From 1 April 2012, the cost of some parking permits will increase . Please contact Parking Services using the contact details at the bottom of this page for further information.

Parking permits are issued to both residents and businesses whose property is within a designated parking permit area. A parking permit is only valid if the vehicle is parked within a permit bay and does not give the right to park in any parking place. Permits can be obtained either in person at:

The Parking Office
Annexe B
Civic Centre
Strood
Kent ME2 4AU

or through the post from the address below. Once a permit has been issued, no refund can be given.

Parking Office opening hours are:

  • Monday to Thursday 8am-5.15pm;
  • Friday 8am-5pm.

Medway Council is responsible for issuing the permits and vouchers listed below.
