Kent Connects Partnership (KCP) (www.kentconnects.gov.uk/home)

The KCP assists its partners in delivering their e-government strategies in line with the government's policy. This includes e-procurement. The KCP will implement a portal for people and organisations across Kent who wish to access local authority services by electronic means.

BiP Solutions (www.bipcontracts.com)

BiP Solutions provides public sector contract information and offers suppliers and buyers access to a database of current open contract opportunities, including the Official Journal of the European Union and Tenders Electronic Daily.

Office for Government Commerce (OGC) (www.ogc.gov.uk)

OGC works with central and local government to improve procurement and project and programme management. It also works with suppliers to make the government marketplace more efficient and attractive to business.

Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government (SOPO) (www.sopo.org)

SOPO's aim is to advise local authorities throughout the UK on all purchasing and supplies matters of national and general interest. Through membership of SOPO, procurement officers join together to share best practice and influence the national agenda on how best value is to be achieved.

Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) (www.idea.gov.uk)

IDeA exists to transform the local government sector through a range of improvement and development programmes. It aims to deliver practical solutions to improve performance through sharing best practices.

Public Private Partnerships Programme (4ps) (www.4ps.gov.uk)

4ps is the local government project procurement agency. Its goal is to lead the provision of project support and independent advisory services to all local authorities in England and Wales to enable them to improve their procurement capability, particularly for large projects and partnerships.
