Description

We can help you address elder abuse through our freephone confidential helpline which provides information, advice and support to victims and others who are concerned about or have witnessed abuse.

  • 24/7 helpline: 0808 808 8141
  • Mobile number for the text service: 07860 052906.

We can also operate specialist helplines for care providers, providing whistleblowing advice and support to residents, relatives and staff (contact us if you would like to be part of this service).

These helplines not only provide direct advice and help to people who may be in danger of experiencing abuse but they also provide unique information on the nature, circumstances and dynamics of elder abuse.

Peer support

Action on Elder Abuse are forming local groups of older people who are concerned about elder abuse and who want to assist in challenging and addressing this issue within their areas.

This is a very practical way in which you can challenge elder abuse in your community and do something meaningful to help victims of abuse to recover and survive the effects of their experiences.

Volunteers can help as 'buddies' to older victims, help with driving, administration or fundraising.
