The Carers Relief Service is a registered charity which supports Medway carers of adults with learning disabilities who live at home.

The Carers Relief Service has an Allotment at Hempstead Allotment, Hempstead Road near Chapel Road, Gillingham, where carers are taught how to grow food for healthy living.

The Allotment sessions are held every Monday and Saturday from 10.30am to 1.30pm at a cost of £2 per session.At the allotment sessions you can grow all kinds of fruit and vegetables.

The work involves digging and laying down manure as well as planting.

You can enjoy the benefits of healthy activity and you will be able to take home some of the produce you have grown to cook and eat.
