Description

Every day we hear from people who need help with looking after a friend or family member.

Caring can present all kinds of challenges, from filling in forms to coping with emotions.

We're here for you with advice, information and support every step of the way.

On the Carers UK Adviceline you can speak to us five days a week, no matter where in the UK you are or how complex your query is. We do benefits checks and advise on financial and practical matters related to caring.

We provide information and advice on:

  • benefits and tax credits
  • carers' employment rights
  • carers' assessments
  • the services available for carers
  • how to complain effectively and challenge decisions

Using the listening service and Adviceline

Our listening service is there for you to talk through your caring situation with a trained volunteer who understands what you are going through.

The Adviceline is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

The listening service is available Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am to 7pm.

Call 0808 808 7777 or email advice@carersuk.org.

Calls to the Adviceline are free if you are calling from a landline or from some mobile networks.
