- Medway Carers' Emergency Card
This scheme provides carers with a card the size of a credit card that they can keep on their person at all times as an instant source of identification in case of accident or sudden illness.
The card does not contain any personal details but has a unique registration number and the telephone number of Kent County Council's 24 hour contact centre.
In an emergency situation anyone can phone the number and quote the unique registration number printed on the card.
The contact centre uses the registration number to easily access the carer's prearranged emergency plan and puts it into action.
The service is free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
