We have a range of healthy lifestyle programmes to suit all families. Whether your little one is still in nappies or school aged. Take a look at the list below to find the right programme for you.

Little Chefs

For children aged 2 to 4

Through cookery, craft and story time children find out where food comes from, how it grows and why we need to eat a variety of foods to stay healthy.

Adults can try out new kitchen skills and little ones will love helping out.

  • Oaklands Wellbeing Centre: 1pm to 3pm.

Wednesday 15 September to Wednesday 20 October

  • Saxon Way Wellbeing Centre: 9.30am to 11.30am.

Thursday 16 September to Thursday 21 October

  • Gun Lane Wellbeing Centre: 9.30am to 11:30am
  • Online - Hoo and Peninsular Pick Up: 1pm to 3pm.

Friday 17 September to Friday 22 October

  • Riverside Wellbeing Centre: 9.30am to 11:30am.


For children aged 2 to 4

TriTots is a programme for families covering fruit and vegetable exploration, craft and active play and in depth learning for parents and carers. Families can find tips on staying on the path to a healthy lifestyle and who may need support with picky eaters.

For children aged 5 to 7

TriMini is a programme for families who want to make healthy changes to their lifestyle. It offers a mix of fun, interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy.

  • Medway Park Leisure Centre: 4pm to 5.30pm.

Tri Cookery

For children and young adults aged 5 to 17

Tri Cookery helps school children learn new cookery skills, find out why it’s important to eat a balanced diet and try out some tasty, healthy recipes.

This free six-week course runs during term time across Medway.

Wednesday 15 September to Wednesday 20 October

  • MidKent College, Gillingham: 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Thursday 16 September to Thursday 21 October

  • All Saints Children and Family Hub: 4.30pm to 6.30pm.


For children aged 8 to 12

Tri Club gives children the tools to make healthy choices around what they eat and portion sizes. Children will love our fun activity sessions and parents can learn how to make healthier choices at home.

Tuesday 5 October to Tuesday 14 December

  • Medway Park Leisure Centre: 4.30pm to 6.30pm.


For children and young people aged 13 to 17

Fitfix is our lifestyle programme for teenagers who want to maintain a healthier weight.

In this 10 week course, we support young people to break unhealthy food and drink habits and to understand why healthy foods are important. Young people take part in fun fitness sessions and feel motivated to be more active.

Throughout the course, we focus on building up young people’s confidence. Sessions include advice on:

  • wellbeing
  • cookery
  • group exercises
  • personal training.
