It’s back! Electric Medway is returning in August 2021. Building on the huge success we had in our first year, we will be presenting our arts programme in different spaces and telling new stories.
There will be an exciting array of free works and activities including:
- virtual reality
- streamed performances
To find out more about our events, visit the Electric Medway website and follow us on social media:
Artists will be making digital work that explores how people have built order in their lives at times of chaos. They will be telling stories we can all relate to.
Synchronised is curated by Kevin Grist and Janet Moore of SparkedEcho.
In this 2nd edition of Electric Medway we will focus on:
- repeated rituals - pattern, routine, reprogrammed behaviour
- collective action - shared recovery, civic duty
- disrupted reality - truth-telling, awake to injustice.
Janet Moore says:
“This builds on the fantastic response we had to the first edition of Electric Medway last year, reaching over 7,000 people. Born out of lockdown, it was a coming together of the community, offering much needed job opportunities for local young creatives. We already have some exciting new partners on board and we can’t wait to share the new, bolder programme with you.”
Electric Medway is supported by Medway Council and co-commissioned by Creative Estuary.
