The historic cobbled streets of Rochester will be taken over by bikes on Sunday 21 July as Medway plays host to some of the nation’s top riders.
The riders will race on a looping 1.6km course around the heart of Rochester, starting and finishing on the Esplanade (red route on map below).

Before the main races there will be a Big Ride mass participation ride from 2.30pm to 3.30pm on all but a small part of the race course (blue route on the map).
Places will be limited. Helmets must be worn. The blue route does not include hills.
If you’re bringing a bike into Rochester for the event, we will be providing free bike storage at a number of locations. These are shown on the event map below.
The bike storage locations are at:
- The King’s Rochester Paddock (Vines Lane) – capacity of 1000 bikes
- Rochester Esplanade – estimated capacity of 200 bikes
- Rochester Riverside – estimated capacity of 200 bikes (some undercover storage available)
We will running a wristband system for storing bikes, but please bring a lock for extra security. Bikes are left at owners’ own risk.
