Information for leaseholders

When you buy a flat or maisonette from the council it is sold on a long lease and you become a leaseholder. Please read our Leaseholders Handbook (PDF 1795KB) to find out more about your lease.

Leaseholders pay £10 ground rent a year as well as a service charge for the cost of running services, including:

  • Buildings insurance
  • Estate services
  • Shared heating
  • Communal electricity and water
  • Window cleaning
  • Ground maintenance
  • Repairs
  • Major works
